1. Machining and Assembly Issues
Diameter/Wall Thickness Deviation: Outer diameter deviation exceeding ±0.5mm (GB/T 14976-2012) or wall thickness deviation exceeding ±12.5% can lead to loose pipe connections, seal failure, and increased leakage risk.
Excessive Ovality: When the rolling equipment precision is insufficient, the ovality error increases from 0.05mm to 0.15mm, affecting flange fit and requiring additional machining compensation.
2. Material Waste and Cost
Uneven wall thickness (e.g., local deviation exceeding 0.2mm) requires a larger machining allowance, leading to a 10%-15% increase in material waste.
3. Mechanical Performance Risks
Dimensional deviations may be accompanied by internal defects (such as delamination and internal cracks), reducing compressive strength, especially prone to rupture in high-pressure fluid transportation. 4. Standard Compliance
If the curvature exceeds 1.5 mm/m or the total length exceeds 0.15%, it cannot pass the acceptance test of GB/T 14976-2012, limiting its use in harsh environments such as petroleum and chemical industries.
